Country house in Gr-5202, Murtas
Murtas
A unique off-grid property formerly a flour mill, is nestled in a sheltered valley with plenty of sunshine. The unusual shaped house has 2 double bedrooms, good size bathroom with corner bath, a shower over the bath and a fitted unit. The kitchen is large with units that separate a character round eating area. The lounge is a very good size with an office area with built in desk. There is a terrace, part covered, wrapped around the house with lovely views to other mountain ranges. The lounge, kitchen and both bedrooms have double doors leading onto the terrace. The mill room with 2 grinding stones is below the house. Next to this is a large workshop and 3 further rooms which easily could be converted into further accommodation. Above the workshop and adjacent to the house is a roofed ruin with 2 rooms that also could be converted into further accommodation (subject to planning permission). The house area is totally fenced and gated. On a terrace above the house is a quirky cottage that is part wood, part block and part caravan. It has the 2 sleeping rooms in the caravan, an open plan kitchen lounge and a shower room. Above the cottage terrace is a wonderful vegetable garden. The remainder of the property has many beautiful areas and terraces which have olive, almond and fig trees. Other trees include, oranges, lemons, pomegranate, nispero, cacqui, cherry, peach, nectarine, plum, apricot, apple and pear. An antique working olive press sits in the house garden.
