Private country house / finca / cortijo and land, Murtas, southern Spain ** Please WhatsApp to ask any questions: +34 642 92 98 70 ** Set in the heart of southern Spain, this stunning private retreat sits in approximately 2.5 hectares of land (25,000 m2). With its unique panorama and an elevation of approximately 1,200 metres, you have spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range to the north and the azure Mediterranean Sea to the south, set across a beautiful vista of valleys and hills. If you value nature, peace, and tranquillity, this is the perfect property. The property rests on a hill with many productive almond and fig trees, as well as grape vines. There is also an orchard that includes mature olive trees and fruit trees such as apple, quince, apricot, persimmon, plum, pear, and horse chestnut. A cultivated vegetable-growing plot is perfect for tomatoes, onions, peppers, soft fruit, and much more. Wild herbs such as lavender and thyme grow throughout. The property is in very good condition and has been further improved over the last few years, to include solar panels, central heating, and a modern fitted kitchen. Outside, there is a very productive well, stunning swimming pool, and chicken coop. The land offers the potential for a small agricultural project, self-sufficiency, or an off-grid lifestyle, if you wish, and perhaps camping or further development subject to permissions. Shopping, local amenities, schools, and medical facilities are easily accessible by well-maintained roads, approximately 30 minutes drive. The coast is about 30 minutes drive and offers beautiful clean swimming. For remote workers, everything you need to connect with the outside world is possible – mobile phone service and internet is very good from the property. The current owners are moving overseas and will be leaving all appliances and furniture, including beds, wardrobes, kitchen appliances, etc., as well as tools and other equipment. Local bills are very inexpensive (approximately 200 to 300 euros per year) and IBI tax (approximately 200 euros per year). The current owners obtained a tourism license for a B&B venture, and it is anticipated that this would also be possible for any future owners. The hill offers the perfect launch site for paragliders, who can reach the seaside on a good day. With only a 30-minute drive, you can access the main coastal road, which leads north to Almeria or south to Malaga, for access to all the facilities offered by these major cities, including the airports and ports.
