A non-resident<\/strong> is someone who has not stayed in Spain for more than 183 days<\/strong> in a calendar year and does not have tax residence in Spain<\/strong>. This means that, even if we hold Spanish nationality, if we pay taxes abroad, we will not be able to apply for a \u201ctraditional\u201d mortgage<\/strong>: we will need to apply for a non-resident mortgage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
